Sustainability in Kim’s practice is paramount. It follows a broad range of strategies and intentions: from designing and making for longevity, by prioritising quality and durability and focusing on local, ethically sourced natural, renewable, or recycled materials to choices made regarding the finish applied upon the completed piece. Only natural finishes are used. Finishes that are safe, protective, long-lasting and that which allow the wood to look and feel like wood.
